A Bit About Me

Hello I'm Ryan Dalson. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA and I am currently enrolled at Penn State University. I am an aspiring Marketing major in the Smeal College of Business and I dream of one day working in a marketing or sales position at a top-tier company.

When entering college I was unsure of what major to pick. I knew I wanted to be in Smeal but I did not know exactly which field of study. One day in the summer of 2017 I realized that I wanted to be a Marketing major. I was working on a project at my most recent internship at Menard Group USA when I made my decision. I was tasked to use my creative abilities to add some flare to a paper to be used by everyone at the company. This was the first time I did a business project that also required a creative component and I was hooked immediately by this type of work.

Besides being an out of the box type of thinker, I am also a people person. I thrive in social settings and love to connect to new people. I love hearing new stories and new ideas from others. People say that I am easy to talk to as well.

Creative thinking and social skills define a great marketer in my opinion. I believe I have both skills in abundance and I plan on using them to the best of my abilities as I continue down my path as a Marketing major.
